The Challenge
A global food producer with over 300 staff members required a complete overhaul of its washroom facilities to accommodate both staff and visitors. The washrooms needed to handle high traffic daily, with both toilet and shower facilities for staff, as well as separate washrooms for visitors. The challenge was to design and integrate a system that could efficiently manage both wet and dry areas within the space while maintaining durability and aesthetics.
The Solution
For the staff toilet cubicles, vanity units, and duct panels, we selected our Classic range in High Pressure Laminate (HPL). Known for its durability in dry washrooms, Classic is an ideal choice for high-traffic areas. It offers a cost-effective solution while providing an attractive finish.
For the shower cubicles and IPS duct panelling, we chose Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) for its superior water resistance. The Challenger SGL cubicle system was used in the wet areas, including showers, due to its versatility and resilience to moisture. Additional IPS duct panelling was also provided for the visitor and reception area toilets, ensuring consistency throughout the facility.
The Outcome
The newly upgraded washroom facilities now offer a highly functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing solution for both staff and visitors. The combination of HPL for dry areas and SGL for wet areas ensures that the facilities can withstand heavy daily use while maintaining a clean, modern appearance. The integration of toilet cubicles, handwash vanities, shower cubicles, and IPS panelling provides a cohesive and efficient washroom system tailored to meet the needs of both staff and visitors.
