The Challenge
Ormiston Denes Academy, located in Lowestoft, Suffolk, is one of the leading co-educational secondary schools in the area. The school sought a partner to design and manufacture a durable and effective privacy solution for their newly redesigned washrooms. The goal was to create washroom areas that minimised bullying and anti-social behaviour while allowing for easy staff supervision and providing user privacy. The challenge was to strike the right balance between privacy, functionality, and aesthetics while ensuring the facilities were durable enough for daily use.
The Solution
Dunhams Washrooms was invited to collaborate on the project, leveraging our extensive expertise in designing and manufacturing school washrooms. We selected the Altitude XP Cubicle System, specifically designed for the education sector, as it provides the perfect balance of privacy, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This system helps ensure a safe and secure environment for students, reducing the potential for anti-social behaviour.
For the project, we manufactured and supplied 36 cubicle systems, 36 IPS duct systems, and 4 Sanivé solid surface wash troughunits. The materials chosen were tough yet visually appealing, providing the school with an effective and attractive solution that met all of their requirements.
The Outcome
The newly redesigned washroom facilities at Ormiston Denes Academy now offer a secure, durable, and aesthetically pleasing solution for students and staff. The Altitude XP Cubicle System delivers the necessary privacy and supervision, contributing to a safer and more comfortable environment. The combination of IPS duct systems and Sanivé solid surface wash troughs ensures that the washrooms are easy to maintain while maintaining a modern, sleek appearance. The project successfully addressed the academy’s needs for both functionality and design, enhancing the overall student experience.
