Sir William Borlase Grammar School
The Challenge
As part of a wider refurbishment programme, Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School sought to modernise its washroom facilities to create a more contemporary, durable and inclusive environment for students and staff.
The project was delivered within a complex existing building that had undergone numerous extensions and alterations over the years, creating constraints around layout, services integration and installation. In addition, the washroom facilities needed to be completed within a tight programme to ensure they were ready for use at the start of the new school term.
The Solution
Dunhams supplied a complete washroom package designed to meet the demands of a busy educational environment, combining privacy, durability and long-term performance.
The scheme featured our Altitude full-height cubicle system, providing exceptional privacy and a modern aesthetic while supporting the school’s safeguarding objectives. Complementing the cubicles, IPS panels were installed to conceal services and create a clean, streamlined finish throughout the washroom environment.
To complete the space, contemporary vanity units were supplied with our Sanive Wash Trough, creating practical communal handwashing areas that are both robust and easy to maintain. The specification focused on hard-wearing materials and finishes capable of withstanding high levels of daily use while retaining their appearance for years to come.
The Outcome
The completed washrooms provide Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School with modern, high-quality facilities that balance privacy, functionality and durability.
By combining Altitude cubicles, IPS systems and vanity units within a cohesive design, the school has benefited from a washroom environment that is welcoming, easy to maintain and built to withstand the demands of everyday school life.
