Wimbish Primary School
The Challenge
Located in the heart of the Essex countryside, Wimbish Primary School wanted to create a washroom that was not only functional but also vibrant and welcoming for students of all ages. The school needed a multi-age, unisex washroom that could be adapted to the needs of different users. The challenge was to design a space that was hard-wearing and durable while providing a fun, safe, and bright environment for children, with added flexibility to cater to varying needs.
The Solution
Dunhams provided a bespoke solution that met the client’s needs for both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Our Junior SGL Cubicle System was chosen for its durability and ability to withstand the high traffic demands of a primary school washroom. Paired with SGL Duct System and HPL vanity units, the overall design provided a practical yet attractive solution for the school.
Key features of the design included varied-height cubicles to accommodate both children and adults, allowing for easy supervision when necessary, while still maintaining privacy for the children. Additionally, ventilation grills were machined into the duct panels to enhance air circulation and improve the washroom environment.
SGL is well known for its durability, making it the ideal material for high-traffic, wet areas such as school toilets.
The Outcome
The newly renovated washrooms at Wimbish Primary School now offer a bright, durable, and safe environment for students of all ages. The combination of Junior SGL Cubicles, SGL Duct System, and HPL Vanity Units ensures that the washroom can handle the demands of a busy primary school while maintaining an appealing design. The bespoke features, such as the varied-height cubicles and integrated ventilation, enhance both the functionality and the overall experience for the students.
