Toilet Cubicle Sizes
What Are The Standard Toilet Cubicle Dimensions?
While there are no set toilet cubicle sizes, building regulations do govern the minimum toilet cubicle dimensions. Here are recommended the standard sizes and dimensions for toilet cubicles. They refer to the Building Regulations Part M and the Equality Act 2010 that showcase guidance on standard, ambulant, and enlarged toilet cubicle dimensions for companies to follow.
We manufacture and supply toilet cubicles which can be made-to-measure cubicles to suit your individual washroom requirements.
Recommended Standard Toilet Cubicles
All standard toilet cubicles must now have a minimum of 450mm diameter manoeuvring space within the cubicle.
Indicator-bolts must also be capable of being operated with a closed fist (i.e., easily accessible for people with mobility issues) and doors must comply with emergency evacuation procedures for the user to be able to get out or be evacuated by emergency services without becoming trapped easily.

Enlarged WC Cubicles
This guideline is for a single washroom with four or more cubicles inside.
For such a washroom, one of the cubicles must be an enlarged cubicle with a minimum width of 1200mm and include an outward opening door.
A horizontal and vertical grab rail set is required around the WC to assist the user.
Ambulant Disabled Cubicles
Disabled toilets are required to be bigger in order to accommodate both wheelchairs and the physically impaired.
Every same-sex washroom must have at least one WC cubicle that is suitable for the ambulant disabled and this must include an outward opening door.
If there is only one cubicle in the washroom then this must be suitable for an ambulant disabled person.

Wheelchair Accessible Toilet Cubicles
Similar to the enlarged cubicle toilet, wheelchair access is of paramount importance for the physically impaired.
The disabled toilet dimensions have recently been restructured in order to accommodate a cubicle length of 2220mm, as opposed to its previous measurement of 2000mm.
The outward opening door needs to be 950mm wide and have a 900mm opening.
